Ready to Teach encompasses the teacher-directed services provided through SkillSet. These include traditional workshop sessions and one-to-one coaching and mentoring focusing on the implementation of highly effective teaching practices such as differentiation and gradual release. Coaches work with teachers to design a strength-based Work Plan to implement classroom strategies that drive improvement. As a result, teachers feel supported to pursue change and work to build relationships with their colleagues, administrators, students, and mentors.
Teachers learn multiple SkillSet strategies that are specific for each learner, implemented with fidelity and intention, and expressed through the development of Learner Profiles for each student. Teachers embrace the integrated professional development services that are infused in the SkillSet system and actively engage with their assigned mentors to reflect on effective pedagogy and adopt evidence-based strategies to improve student achievement.
